| Description: | How to protect and promote traditional products is still new in most of the Western Balkans countries it has been researched since a long time in EU in general and in the Adriatic EU member states in particular. Specific tools has been developed and often successfully implemented: organization of clusters and supply-food chains, collective trademarks (e.g. Protected Denomination of Origin, Protected Geographic Indication) regional and quality labels; collective marketing approaches, etc.
The aim of this project is, through establishing an Adriatic cooperation for the protection and promotion of traditional products, to involve Western Balkans countries in these researches and experimentation. The project will also allow Western Balkans partners to start implementing pilot projects using and adapting tools and methods already developed in the EU. |
