| Description: | The global objective of the project is to promote the Adriatic basin as a possible Arab friendly tourist destination with an established infrastructure and a recognizable trademark. The whole Adriatic territory, with its many natural and cultural resources, and an already potent tourist infrastructure and tradition, has enormous potential for the development of halal tourism.
The specific objectives of the ADRIATIC HALAL project are:
• Training of selected local food producers for Halal certification
• Training of selected tourist services providers in the Adriatic region
• Halal certification of an association of local food producers in Bosnia and Montenegro
and selected tourist services providers
• Systematic promotion and marketing of Halal tourism services in the Adriatic basin
• Establishment of three Halal-certification training centers
• Transfer of knowledge and business model to other regions in the Adriatic
• Creation of Adriatic Halal trademark
